The entire secession movement is just to embarrass the President for historical purposes

They can't touch him any other way so this is something that will be recorded to smear his record. How long will the haters keep throwing shit against the wall to see what will stick?

Every post on DU about the secessionists gives them what they want, publicity for their nutty views. Few to none of them are serious, they are in it for the attention it draws.

They deserve to be mocked, pilloried and made fun of.

The history books will not be kind to them, even if they do end up inhabiting a tiny footnote.

Anyone who takes them seriously and worries about them is giving them what they want.

How things are framed is important. A few noisy partisan malcontents do not make a movement.

You are correct on the historical purpose though. They are trying to diminish Obama.
