Allen West's campaign blasts rival for attending new member events in DC

Rep. Allen West’s (R-Fla.) campaign blasted Democrat Patrick Murphy for attending freshman orientation at the Capitol this week.

Murphy declared victory over West in Florida's 18th district last weekend and is participating in workshops for new members of Congress.

“I think it is premature of him,” Tim Edson, West’s campaign manager, said on a conference call Wednesday. “I understand he would like to move on and wrap this up, but for someone who claims to be certified public accountant, you would expect him to be a little more concerned about the shifting numbers and the inaccuracies of these numbers.”

West too was in Washington, for the lame-duck session of Congress, while Murphy attended programs designed to help newly elected lawmakers navigate Capitol Hill.

The bigger question for me is will he ever concede? I'm serious. Even if they do a full recount and Murphy still comes out on top, what are the chances that Brave Sir Allen never admits defeat?

District 22 is his seat. He'll be replaced by Lois Frankel, a Democrat, in January in that seat.

District 18 was the district Brave Sir Allen ran away to because he thought he was too vulnerable to losing District 22, and District 18 was supposedly more Republican friendly.

That little weasel/fucker norm coleman refused to concede and dragged it out for MONTHS. The people of Minnesota had to make do with one Senator because this asshole wouldn't grow up and move on. Would his side have expected anything less from ours, if the results had been reversed? I think Patrick Murphy's doing the precisely correct thing, attending the workshops and other openers for new members, because he's got a district to serve now. Go ahead and step up, Congressman-Elect Murphy! You won. The vote-count proves it. Ignore that pissant. Don't let this Sore Loserman hold you back from serving the MAJORITY of people who sent you to Washington on their behalf. That self-flattering jerk is little more than a Prince of Poor Sportsmanship, as well as a colossal public embarrassment to his district. They're so much better off getting rid of him!

....within 24 hours of the Supreme Court making its final ruling, Al Gore conceded and talked of bringing the nation together. Unfortunately, it was pretty much a procedural dead end to continue and Vice President Gore wasn't going to make himself look like a fool tilting at windmills.

Apparently, he stayed holed up in a hotel room all night while dozens of supporters waited downstairs in a ballroom waiting for him to speak. His surrogates were left having to made excuses for him not showing his face.
