Hah! That was patronizing. What an ass he is. Well, Wisconsin, at least you have one good Senator now (or you will when she takes office, that is).
I think we may well see more of this. We need to push back. We need to assert ourselves. For all you closed-minded, Pox Noise-sucking, willfully-ignorant deniers out there, NOW HEAR THIS:
Women will NOT go back. We're here and we insist on total unquestioned sovereignty over our bodies.
Blacks are HERE. And they are every bit your equal. As a matter of fact one African-American in particular showed your own best and brightest who's boss, not once but TWICE. GET OVER IT.
Latinos deserve RESPECT. They actually ARE the American Dream if you really wanna know. Coming from elsewhere to this wonderful country of hope and endless possibilities, and struggling and working their fingers raw and their muscles screaming. They earn it the hard way, and every last one of them is his or her own living breathing Horatio Alger story. GET USED TO IT.
You look down your nose at these people at your peril. You regard them as less than you and you show YOURSELVES to be the lesser ones. You scoff and smirk and patronize them at your own folly.
bill o'reilly has it all wrong. The "traditional" America is NOT gone. It's been rejuvenated. The old clothes just grew filthy, moldering with bacteria and stench. Besides, most of us have long since outgrown them. And they've had to be replaced. The American tradition is evolving all the time, as any basically healthy living organism does. We as a society have been creating new and timely, more relevant and even sacred traditions. Face it. Yes. Evolution IS worth taking seriously. This country is its living proof if you ask me.
And for the kkkarl roves of the world, who once described a new reality his side was creating that the rest of us would be left to study, while they act and then act again? Well, I've got news for him! There really IS a new reality being created. We're ALL living in it, whether we choose to accept or believe it. It just cut you off at the knees on Tuesday evening. And WE created it. WE BUILT IT. Everyone around you has been building it. Your reality is what's dying. Hell, it never really lived except in your own selfish greed-driven imagination, and then given a propaganda machine in the limbaughs and Pox Noises of your world to document your alleged reality and make it seem factual.
The Obama world is what's real. The crowds at his rallies are what's the real America. EVERY TIME, I looked and saw the rainbow. EVERY TIME, I scanned the crowd behind him or in front of him or on line waiting to shake his hand. And there was a rainbow. Every size and shape of people, every color of people, every age and gender of people. It was living, physical, actual proof of what kind of President we have with Barack Obama - the visual evidence is there for all to see - he's the President of EVERYBODY. Just as you could see, watching the GOP's CONvention and wrongney crowds, it was apparent that mitt would be the president mainly of those who looked more or less like he did. Monochromatic, stiff, cold, and from another era.
It will be interesting to see whether enough of the other side begins to wake up, and come around to what IS, as opposed to "the numbers you have as a republi-CON to make you feel better," as your own megyn kelly would opine.
