Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

If the rich m*tha f*ckas can spend millions on a PAC, they can afford to pay more in taxes.

In fact, I say tax the hell out of them (@90% for over 1 million net income) so they can't afford to donate to a PAC. Also ...make them continue to pay into SS ...no more limits!

1. I love it re: PACs vs taxes. Hell yeah. And yeah, no limits on SS.

2. I don't think most of the 1% complains about that do they?

Buffet, Gates, Turner, Ellis, and more have already been on record saying tax them more fairly.

3. Yeah. But the money they spent on PACs was intended to benefit *themselves*...

Taxes help other people... It's just not the same.

9. Doesn't make sense

Wouldn't it have been cheaper for them to just pay the taxes?

10. It would be better if they were writing off the expense of having employees in the USA.

They would rather play political power games with their money than create jobs. If I had my way I would tax the hell out of them unless they create good jobs here in the USA.
