that they 'might' take chains to try to secure the dangling part.
And they were saying that they 'might' have to put up another crane to take the first one down.
Nothing definite yet.

of what could be a unmitigated disaster in the major news sources. That boom looks like it could snap off any minute as it seems only to be attached to the crane in 2 or 3 places.

I know they were going to evacuate--haven't seen anything since then.

I imagine the evac was somewhat hectic.
With a gazillion people in the City for the marathon and MNF, power for a phone or laptop may be hard to come by.

it is still there, held up by "braces." It will take a few days to catalogue the damage and figure the best way to get it down
