Republican agenda based on slave days?

Last edited Sat Oct 27, 2012, 10:56 PM - Edit history (2)

Is the agenda of the modern day Republican Party a hold out from 300 years of slavery in Americas.

1. Union busting--Cheap labor
2. Repealing Minimum wage--cheap labor
3. Outsourcing jobs to China etc--Cheap labor

4. Anti-Choice--Slave masters would not allow their slaves to induce abortion
"Slaves were subject to the rules of their owners, and the owners refused to allow their slaves to terminate pregnancies. The owners wanted their slaves to produce as many children as possible since these children belonged to the slave owners. This situation persisted until the end of the slavery era." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10297561

5.Rape is no excuse for abortion: Rape of slave women by the slave masters was legal and common in slave states.

6. Capital punishment--severe brutal punishment for slaves who misbehaved often resulting in death..

7. Voter suppression of the poor--slaves could not vote of course.

They want the 21st Century version of American Slavery. Who helped bring about this revolution? Lots of GOP wins happened in the South. Not just any southerners, but Reagan Democrats, brought into the party through the Southern Strategy.

I've thought about this, but you spelled it out in your OP. Makes me sick to read it in black in white like that, but you are spot on.
