It is frightening. Kind of makes you wonder what their home life is like. Except I don't really want to know, I think it is probably very horrid.

NO they don't, but then they KNOW that rape is a felony crime and it doesn't matter if you put the
word god in there anywhere..you are going to prison for rape.

Not a direct quote, but close.

Yes, each time I hear one of them expound on rape, my first impression is that they either did or darned well wanted to to the point where it still obsesses them. I think talking about rape titillates them and sickens me.

How much influence do they have on teen-age boys. Do they think the boys aren't also looking for permission to take advantage? I see there was another young girl who committed suicide this week after being bullied by fellow students for having sex with 4 boys at a party. I believe they called her a slut. Where did they pick that word up from? Coincidence, I'm sure.

The worst is threatening to make it illegal for a woman who is raped to abort the baby, but to carry it to term AND allow visitation rights to the father. This is simply insane. How much hurt can they load these poor women with? This is beyond rationalization.

Until one of their daughters is attacked, they won't understand. Narrow-minded idiots.

Like a lot of things the right wants to put in place. The pain and suffering these things would cause is never considered.
Their cult like adherence to ideology is what is important. The consequences do not matter to them.

No one wants to mention of their history full of violence. From the slaughter of the Native American to the displacement of Latinos to the corruption of indentured servitude. And even to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. crimes against women are the way to humiliate an entire culture. By using fear and force. In this instance, the are trying to use the fear of economic policies to justify their ideological and true mindset about the crime of rape. When you see people trying to justify a crime by saying that it has degrees or variations that you know do not have any effect on what the true nature of the crime really is. Then you know they are cool with it. Its like telling a little white LIE. It still is a LIE. They are so pathetic that they really don't see that this is not a gender based crime. Men are sexually assaulted. Children are sexually assaulted. And in some cases so are animals.A person can even be sexually assaulted by using a foreign object. Which makes Governor Ultrasound seem icky as hell. That is what is so stupid about this whole thing. The question should not be about the degrees of sexual assault. The question should be " What man do you know, that would let, or be comfortable with the thought of his Wife, Girlfriend, or Daughter having the baby of the person who raped them???" What if the assault was by someone of a different ethnic background??? Start asking that question. And watch your response. My husband did. A whole new outlook with men. Especially white men.

if there's a reason why they think the way they do about rape. Like thinking some girls "rape easy" and how often girls say they were raped. It seems like maybe that would be an opinion someone would gather because they'd had that experience.
