Maybe she is "book smart."

I can't think of any other explanation as to how S.E. Cupp got into Cornell.

Every time I listen to "The Cycle," I hear Steve Kornacki trying to tutor her on the facts.

1. I got in to all sorts of fancy ass places on the basis of my SAT scores

I never had the money to go, but hell, at least I got in. At 18, however, I knew a lot of what books could teach me. I just didn't know squat about anything else. That all came pretty quickly in the next few years, though, life has a way of deflating us quickly when we leave home and start to live it.

She reminds me of someone who was a complete grind in school, doing nothing at all but hitting the books, and who lived with Mom and Dad all through her 20s. Unless she got into Cornell as a legacy, she's probably smart enough when it comes to books.

She just doesn't know jack shit about anything else and while she's being protected and coddled and overpaid, she won't learn.

2. She's playing a character.

Just like all of the pundits. Very few of them are sincere in their beliefs, they're basically acting.

Also, intelligence doesn't equal wisdom.
