Why did no one tell me about the post Romney-win uprising?

That's all I've been seeing on Twitter today, well, that and 'marines still use bayonets' and 'I'd like to see Obama tell the calvary they don't exist'.

The righties have convinced themselves that if Romney wins, there will be a US Arab Spring (and some folks are giving tips on how to protect yourself from the uprising) led by progressives and democrats.

What's funny, is after reading the actual article (not the blog post linking from actual article floating around the Twitterverse), it seems a great dose of irony is being employed. However, it seems our delusional right-wing brethren don't know what irony is or get that the original post seems to be slightly tongue & cheek.

Anyway, this is what's wrong with America. The righties see something online, take it as fact and start spreading wild rumors. Of course, it's the same group of people who hear or read the word "fewer" and convert it into "none."

2. When I was in the armed forces we were issued bayonets...

Certainly, people who serve in the Navy aren't issued them either.

Obama said "fewer." They were talking about fewer ships and fewer horses and bayonets.

People who interpret "fewer" to mean "no" are ignorant. Sorry, but that is just a fact.

And people who can't read and listen carefully so as to determine the meaning of what is being said are also ignorant. They need to take basic English and literature courses. That is what education is for. Business courses and PE are not enough in and of themselves.
