4. Religion is all BS anyway. You know the Pope and the Cardinals...

You know the Pope, Cardinals, and Bishops all know this. But they keep it going for at least two reasons. First, their selfish desires to keep their comfort and wealth. That vow of poverty may apply to personal property but it sure doesn't seem to be hurting most of them from living quite nicely with Church property and amenities.

Second, I believe they have seriously deluded themselves into thinking they're helping all those lost sheep who are their parishioners live a better life and that they continually save the world from itself. That they help keep peace and love in the world.
