What do you think are the chances of Romney winning the popular vote and Obama winning the Electoral

College?

If the polls are accurate, Romney might be slightly ahead in the national vote, but Obama is ahead in the swing states, which would give Obama the victory. I personally would love to see this scenario. It would be kind of a payback to 2000, and it might give some impetus to getting rid of that old dinosaur.

A lot of them really do not like Romney from what I can tell. No enthusiasm for him whatsoever around here. I don't think enough of them will do that to make a huge difference, but I agree Romney isn't going to win the South by as much as the polls say. It's going to be both the African-American vote and a reduced white conservative vote.

The president will take both popular and electoral votes. And I do not think it's going to be close. It probably will be closer than four years ago, but BO is going to pull away.

Also, the polls are all over the place, so nobody really knows what's what. That's why I trust Nate Silver, and others like him who look at the bigger picture than just a few selected -- dare I say cherry picked -- polls.

Keep working, but I think we got this. Remember, we can gain a Senate seat or two and maybe take back the House if we get our people out to the polls.

If it happens, Romney will not just accept the result and go home. They'll fight on. GW Bush had such a plan in 2000. The GOP controls 36 state legislatures, and state legislatures have absolute authority to send any slate of electors they choose. (see Bush V. Gore)

Whatever, a win is a win. Obama could win 500 EVs and 75% of the vote and these Rethug fucktards would simply obstruct him anyway.
