Look all grave and serious, waiting for that little viper Ryan to finish lying his ass off? No, in my opinion the VP gave exactly as much respect to the word salad from Ryan it deserved.

We our Attorney General here in Delaware!

I'm thinking next step is probably taking a break for about 4-5 years, at least from politics. He may run for Governor once Jack Markell is done in 2016 or run for Tom Carper's senate seat should Tom retire in 2018.

AG position has term limits so he'll be done in 2014 and will probably spend that time doing some good work around the state & country to help build his profile.

Joe raised some great kids!

To me Ryans lies were not so much a laughing matter, but rather an opportunity for serious debate of the facts. During the Obama/Romney debate, Obama frequently flashed a wide grin expressing disinterest....or at least that's how it struck me anyway. I'm not against "laughter" or "grins", but when used excessively as a debate tactic, I think it comes off bordering on uncomfortable at the very least, and forced at the very worst.

Smiling and laughing got the message across much better.
Biden waiting for Ryan to finish before calling him on his misspoke's, would not have worked at all. They already tried that.

I certainly disagree with your take here-- "Obama frequently flashed a wide grin expressing disinterest." Huh?

...you laugh at absurdities ..it is kind of one step before ya ' wanta' slap 'em in the head...unlike some, many of us didn't raise kids that "tell us lies in so many different ways over and over"like these guys....so they get what they get in shock reaction....It's not lack of respect to laugh at a lie, it's lack of respect to assume your opponent will believe one.. I "loved" the moderator asking that yes or no question, getting that circuitous response..looking him in the eye and saying..."then you have no specifics"..HA..I laughed..and I'm a pretty respectful person
