In the last few years, even in speeches at home in West Virginia, he has admitted that it isn't his place to force his religious beliefs on others.

But criticizing Trump is a very low bar. Democrats also criticize Trump plus they push better policies. Romney could be running against Biden in 4 years.

his general integrity these past few years. I wouldn’t ever vote for him, but I remember thinking back in 2012, that if he should beat Obama (thank heavens he didn’t), I could live with him as president.

and not just before the people.

He serves what he believes is God's will for His kingdom on earth. And believe me, his god's brand of extreme theocratic authoritarianism is nothing any of us would choose to have imposed.

It doesn't matter that without a real god's help Romney would fail in most aims, any successes are unacceptable -- like more religious fundamentalists on SCOTUS. I don't even like him in the authoritarian Republican Party, whose leadership these days is swarming with conservative religious extremists.

Btw, the media really need to stop treating religious beliefs as if elections were afternoon teas and discussion of religion in bad taste.
