Did anyone see the Rmoney/Rayn rally yesterday popping champagne & fireworks?

Last edited Sat Oct 6, 2012, 12:46 PM - Edit history (2)

I saw a 10 second clip today as I was going out the door, and I couldn't believe how over the top it was! It was bizarre, they looked like damn fools!

Did any past Democrat 1st debate winners embarrass themselves like this? I don't remember anything like this circus. What the heck is it with repub's inability to control themselves? Do they have to over-reach and over-do absolutely everything?

As I pointed out before, from what limited polling data we have, the debate itself didn't result in practically any swing, but the media drumbeat of "Romney demolished Obama" caused what appears to be potentially a larger-than-expected bounce for the Republican...but which only began the day after the media spent telling everyone how big a win it was for Romney. In other words, perception can generate reality in today's politics (or business...which is probably why the CEO candidate agreed with the approach).

For right wingers, facts and substantive argument do not matter. They have an agenda and their own self-interest to carry them along. All Mitt needed to do was get through the evening with his stupid grin and a bunch of talking points and to them that made him a winner. They could care less that he lied. That just shows what sort of character they possess. They are just plain ugly.

I strongly suspect by flopping to the middle, any undecideds he manages to win over will be offset by angry fundie teabaggers staying home.

"I asked him those questions and you – you heard his answers."

Romney wove highlights from the debate into his traditional stump speech, revisiting the showdown that was watched by 62 million Americans.

He sounds like a six year old. "I punched him on the playground and you saw, didn't you?" Yes Mitt, you punched him and while you were basking in that cheap thrill, the President took a huge chunk out of your credibility.

Maybe America is still in shock with what has happened to the Republican party. Or has America really become so unaware that Mitt really is a viable candidate?
