Re: Clint Eastwood.

My dad is Eastwood's age, I have no desire to live that long.

And use it. Even if he is not the who set it up, the tweet is quite coherently written.

At any rate, he apparently was a major asshole when he was 60, and 50, and... I know some about the history of GE under Welch, and so does Olbermann.

My dad still thinks that the current economy is just a matter of "git 'er done" and "hard work", in spite of the fact that 3 of his 4 children are still unemployed in spite of decades of steady employment.

What's up with that? Welch is spewing more lies and a ridiculous conspiracy theory. Who cares that he's "almost 80". So's Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Should we ignore her too?

People begin mental fossilization in their 30/40s and rarely revert.

He's a product of the baby boomer period, he rode the boom from 1981-2001, a lot of his success is being at the right place and time, not intrinsic brilliance.

I doubt he truly understands the how and why of the current economy like Robert Reich does.

Welch just doesn't matter anymore.

You must be considerably older than that, I suppose.

We're celebrating my dad's 98th birthday this weekend and not only can he outthink Jack Welch, it's pretty obvious he could outthink you.

...my late Dad was 88 when he passed away but he could tell you everything that happened during his lifetime down to each second. I'm 61 and I'm still learning as much as I can each passing day.

Maybe you're the one suffering from "mental fossilization"...whatever the heck that is....ever think of that?
