imho, Obama lost tonight, but he will get a bump from this debate, I am pretty sure, here's why:

Romney was an asshole to the old guy.... This will be a net gain for Obama in the senior column...

I think Seniors were listening less to what they were saying and watching how they were acting more.... Romney showed disrespect for Jim Lerher.... And you know a big part of tonights audience were Seniors.

Obama needs help with Seniors.... I think tonight helped.

Rachel Maddow had a reel showing how Romney kept beating down the moderator, it was repetitive and relentless... That will not go unnoticed.

Obama may have been playing this one for them....

when the point is made explicit in the media so it becomes part of a consensus. Need to get the talking points around.

Romney was aggressive, and we know that's what most American's like, right? I'm not so sure anymore. We'll see, I guess.

Snap polls show Romney coming across better by a huge margin.

As much as it pains me to say it, I think Romney gets a good bump, and probably knocks a state or two out of play, spelling the end of an Obama landslide.

He probably also energized his base of donors who were going wobbly on him. Romney didn't perform great, Obama just performed poorly.

She was always somewhat of a jerk, but since she started listening to Beck, she's unhinged. I never knew her to be bigoted in fact always in favor of gay rights, etc.

She was never religious at all, but now she's up in arms about how this is a Christian nation, just a five-star bagger bigot. She's convinced Obama is importing illegal aliens for their votes, turning the USA communist and going to declare sharia law. Oh, and a new, she really, really hates Occupy.

Her husband is a bit older, but he's still sane. I feel bad for him dealing with her outbursts of rage, screaming, etc. I won't go into all the details of our last conversation, and try to not get political with her, but she won't leave it alone.

I did not know insanity was contagious, but the main vectors are Beck, Rush and Fox.

My uncle was always somewhat socially conservative but nothing like this, and my mom says she thinks he voted Democratic back in the day. He's married to my mom's sister and she's never liked him, but now she can't stand to be around him. He listens to hate radio all. day. long. And he believes every word. And he's started collecting guns, lots and lots of guns, in preparation for the civil war he is convinced is about to break out. It's a mental illness.
