Actually, in my opinion, it wasn't worse than a draw.

And in many ways, I think Romney came out behind. His imperiousness was on display tonight, he came across as petulant as well. Obama did a fine job pressing for specifics, and exposed Romney as just, well, willing to say anything, including baldfaced lying.

For those of you who were wanting a fire breathing, barn burning performance from Obama, hell, even I knew that wasn't going to happen. Stand up, be the calm, intelligent, incumbent President, and give Romney enough rope to hang himself, which he did with great aplomb.

I don't think this is a loss, or a disaster. I think this is rope a dope.

Oh, and for anybody from MSNBC who checks in here, tell Rachel and the crew to get a grip. Lawrence was the only one who was even halfway to calm.

This isn't a sporting event.
Obama was calm, composed, and truthful.
Romney looked like a rabid dawg nipping at the heels of the mailman.

Can you imagine someone acting in the manner that Romney did, being president? I can't imagine a president talking like that during a State of the Union message. Or, better, how about that type of performance in front of the UN?? How about trying to get a bill through Congress, talking like that to a bunch of unwilling, doubting congresspersons?

I don't know what he was on, but I am glad that he didn't share it!

Drugs, dementia, the devil, I don't know, but he went from looking like a politician on caffeine to a used car salesman after a two day coke bender within the space of about five minutes.

gotten more jabs in. Despite what the flash polls say, Obama probably won't lose ground in the polls.

You've got to give people time to think about what was said.

I wouldn't be surprised if Obama is going to come in with more jabs next time. This time was to look Presidential and see what Romney is all about.

A spoiled rich kid, imperious, obnoxious, and petulant. That, and it also seemed like he was tweaking like a rabid squirrel on speed.
