Yahoo Political Articles

For the better part of the past 3 years of so, the comments following political articles on yahoo news would usually lean slightly left or be 50/50. Since May of this year I noticed it gradually started going right. Pro Obama articles getting more thumbs downs, Pro Romney articles getting more thumbs up. Now when I read an article it is about 90 to 90% anti Obama. Yet the polling has consistently showed if nothing else that the Country is split. Read any Yahoo article.. it's basically Fox News Limbaugh talking points on every single article.

Then I remember an offhand statement by Rince Priebus stating that RNC efforts were leading the Obama camp in other areas including the web etc. When they did this interview during the RNC convention, there was a room with about 20 different Republican staff members sitting at computers. It would only take 20-30 people, making 15 dollars and hour, to create numerous log in names and flood every article the way Free Republic "Freeps" a poll. The comments following any yahoo news article are simply disgusting these days. Check any current articles. At least thats my take on it. I hope the rest of this country isn't as sick as all the comments I've been seeing since about May..

90%+ anti Obama comments suddenly (past few months, but as his poll numbers have gone... up.. nationally) and it really doesn't even matter what the article is about.

2. Yahoo comments really are awful. Occassionally I'm amazed to see

a large swath of comments that are from the left though -- but it seems very rare.

I sometimes post on Yahoo comments, but honestly it's a pretty useless gesture.

3. Am I wrong?

I think it has something to do with right-wing authoritarianism. The more insecure they get about the actual fact that Romney will lose (oh and the fact that he just plain sucks), the more aggressive they get. That means, more aggressive with the like and dislike buttons. I could be wrong though, that's just my theory!
