http://www.coloradoan.com/article/20120926/NEWS01/309260024/Hundreds-gather-Fort-Collins-Paul-Ryan-campaign-stopAt the end of the article is this gem:
Cindy Barnes said criticisms of the Republican point of view on womens issues are exaggerated by the left.
There is no war on women, she said. Women can vote. We can drive. We can have babies. We can do what we want.
I'm now going to walk across the street to borrow my neighbor's brick wall for forehead-bashing duty.

(53,661 posts)4. Rather low set of standards there. Women can do that in Saudi Arabia now, too, can't they?
She didn't mention equal opportunity for education, employment and healh care.
The list does not include the right to say 'No' to being raped by GOP cattle prods for daring to suggest one might not want to 'have babies,' even in cases of rape and incest and forced to go to term even if it kills you...
She'd be right at home in some of the world's worst places for women.

which saddens me to think that someone so ignorant is raising little ignorant people.
Geez Cindy Barnes... America is not Saudi Arabia, the right to DRIVE is not exactly some sort of hard-fought right.
