Just interviewed @ewarren who came down to see the protest outside the White House- shes getting cheers. She told me she came here because she had an obligation to bear witness to this moment

(82,849 posts)Clearly, Sen. Warren is rightfully scared of the people! Not like he-man Donald Trump, when he can be coaxed out from under the bed.

Here's hoping and praying that we'll have future First Dogs, Champ and Major, to invite him over for many play dates.

(32,093 posts)his mom would do far more good in the Senate. Not worth risking the loss of her seat to a Republican, either.

(8,065 posts)his 8 years are up.
We need this woman in a position of ultimate power in the executive branch. She will make a lot of things right again.
GoCubsGo
(32,093 posts)I love her, but I would rather Biden pick someone younger. She's 70 years old. She can continue to help "make a lot of things right again" in the Senate. And, do you really want to risk losing her Senate seat to a Republican? I don't. There are numerous other women being considered who are just as capable.

(9,659 posts)prosecutors are just the top cop and if you haven't noticed the nation is not too happy with cops right now (for good reason)
we need someone who has national recognition, someone that will bring votes ( I believe warren would do an excellent job bringing any Bernie voters to the ticket and voters that liked some of Bernie's ideas but wanted a little more refined plan)
she has a plan for everything and has shown with the consumer protection bureau ,she can get things passed
names are being thrown into the hat that have never even won a statewide election, that is not a good idea
as far as losing her senate seat to a repub, to not chance that we would have to pick a candidate from a solid blue state, which does nothing to help with the electoral college

(32,093 posts)I think they're both purebred. The younger one, Major, is shelter dog. He was adopted after Biden left office.

Which saddens me greatly.
But, right now our #1 priority has to be saving our country. Were teetering at the precipice of fascism. It must be turned back.

(13,776 posts)... knowing that these pictures will be widely distributed. I love it for two reasons: It makes her look healthy (she's my top VP choice for sure, and I wish my calf muscles looked as good as hers) and it makes her look both confident and relatable.
And my adoration of Bailey knows no bounds!
I'm so proud that she's there, doing the right thing. If she became VP or (be still my heart) eventually became President, what a country this could be!
