Is that the Ambassador?
Awful awful.

I am starting to feel like the whole thing was engineered by the Neocons. I wonder if Cheney and Rove had a private showing of this film or even approved the script?

(11,366 posts)were Libyans who were trying to get him to the hospital. I read they carried him in their arms hoping he was just unconscious. Obviously, he wasn't. The pics were taken to show they were telling the truth. When you see them in succession, it makes sense.

(101,446 posts)I saw it posted on another forum; though it's notable that they seem to have removed the article it was part of (I can do a Google image search for it and it finds it, and says the article title is about the US amabssador; but clicking on it brings up a completely unconnected article).
In the Globo picture, it looked like someone was propping him up to help him (it's here if you want to see it - http://www.politicsforum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=14056003#p14056003 - he looks hurt, but alive, and not too bloody). Looking at the Drudge site, theirs is different - a blurry photo someone carrying the ambassador over their shoulder. It could of course, still be someone helping him.

(23,954 posts)I am sure Amb. Stevens has family; wife, children, sisters, brothers, a mom and dad. As painful as this is already for them, a gratuitous splashing of a picture of his dying minutes across the internet is just indecent and cruel.

(154,021 posts)They were trying to get the Ambassador to medical help. He ended up in the Benghazi hospital where doctors worked the code for 90 minutes. Per news reports none of the attending knew he was the Ambassador.
Does this change this a tad?
Here, from the NY Post, which you and I might agree is a ad to the right

(23,954 posts)For that I'm am grateful that in his last minutes he knew compassion. I guess I'm just too sensitive. I just don't know what is accomplished in publishing a dying man's picture, which will be the last image of him his family and friends will see.

Terrorists don't take people to the hospital.

(25,699 posts)Yes, your posting drudge as a source and expecting others to whip up into a frothy outrage on the assumption that "those people" were mistreating Chris Stephens - "hoisting around" - is quite awful.

That's a sick mind you have.
Scootaloo
(25,699 posts)No, you were trying to mischaracterize the situation. That's why you used the phrase, "hoisting around." It's why Drudge is your source, rather than some of the sources given by other posters on this thread that explain what's going on. You started this thread half-cocked, trying to spark some outrage, and you failed with fucking flying colors.
Don't make it worse by trying to deflect your sorry attempt at trolling onto me.
