Romney ignored warnings about Ryan’s history of lies, exaggerations

Campaign professionals vetting Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan as a potential Republican vice presidential candidate warned Mitt Romney‘s strategists that the Congressman had a “history of exaggeration and prevarication” that could become a campaign issue and distraction but the GOP presidential nominee’s team ignored the warnings.

Romney campaign insiders tell Capitol Hill Blue that an intense internal battle raged inside the campaign over Ryan’s history of blatant lies, factual misstatements and exaggerations.

----------------------

“Paul Ryan is a loose cannon. He’s Mitt Romney’s Sarah Palin and his involvement with the campaign will sink the Republican Party in this election,” said another GOP pro, who also asked to remain anonymous.

“When I heard Ryan was on the short list, my first reaction was ‘oh, Christ, here we go again,’ ” the longtime GOP operative said Sunday. ”The man tells so many whoppers so often that I’m not sure he even knows when he’s lying.”

We could not get better at this time.

Romney and Ryan are imposters just there to fill the space on the ballot while we re-elect the president we like, Barack Obama.

As many know, I will be the first to criticize Barack Obama on human rights -- after he is re-elected. Hopefully in his second term, he will perform with more integrity in that area. We shall see. But in so far as running the government, Barack Obama is the best.

Neither Romney nor Ryan have the stable personalities that Obama has. And that is what we need in the White House -- an adult with a sense of humility and humor -- Barack Obama.

They picked Ryan so that he would tell these outrageous lies. The Rethugs figured that the media would give them a pass like they usually do. Now that some of Ryan's lies are being exposed, Romney tries to be the "good guy" and tells everyone that it's Ryan's habit to lie. This conveniently covers up the liars' strategy.

There are a LOT of fundies who think Catholics are just as hell-bound as Mormons, and Ryan is a Catholic.

Ryan's job is to bring in the teabaggers and freepers who would never vote for Romney because Romney is supposedly a liberal...the problem is, if you do a comparative analysis of teabagger politics and label anyone to the left of a teabagger on any issue a liberal, as the TBs do, you find a hell of a lot of liberals in American politics including every GOP president prior to Bush the Younger and Joe McCarthy.

Martin Bashir today compared Palin to Ryan, pointing out that although she couldn't name a magazine she reads or a Supreme Court decision she admires, she never lied about it. Nor did she lie about her time in a marathon wheres Ryan not only lied about his time, he even said he'd run more than one, another lie. Bashir called Ryan a pathological liar who has surprised the many people who thought he was a "straight shooter".

The more Moderate Repug. Party silent elders including Romney pretty much already know he's gonna lose. Choosing Ryan now to be in the national spotlight shines a light on his skeezebag behavior and policies. It cuts him off at the knees and takes away the threat to Bohner for the Speakership if they maintain the House. Bohner stays in position. Ryan is Palinized. His side of the party is marginalized and will not present as much of a threat in 4 years when they can run a more moderate candidate in general.

If Romney does by chance win...well no sweat...They'll find a way to neutralize him later

I'm still optimistic that there are still some Rational Republicans somewhere in string pulling power who want to rid the country of the Baggers and Teavangelicals as much as we do.
