1.How can anyone vote for a guy who has not common sense and puts a dog in a cage on the roof of a car and drives
2. How can they vote for someone who is unwilling to pay taxes to support our country
3. How can they vote for a guy who was a 'chop shop' and tore the guts out of companies and shipped them overseas
4. How can they vote for a guy who is unwilling to invest in America
I just don't get their mind set - they make me crazy with their lack of knowledge or desire to get it
I see the same thing with those against unions and all the things FDR fought for the people

(10,602 posts)We have too many crackers, particularly in the South, though the North has its share as well. They would rather be unemployed, broke or sick with no health care than vote for Obama.
The GOP keeps playing the tune that he is giving all your money to minorities and the underserving.

(51,076 posts)I think the pollsters and the media try to keep it looking like its a horse race but when you look at the numbers of people at their individual rallys, no way is robme going to win. if you take the number of donations that each candidate gets no way can rMoney win and I think I read that three times as many have donated to Obama as mittens so there is no way in hell this can even be close, any way shape or form.

(17,528 posts)how can this election be close. Romney only has stupid blue collar white men and the rich or 1%. I agree...they just need a horse race to keep up TV interest and advertizing dollars. They know where their bread is buttered. After the election there is going to be an awful lot of depressed, angry, hostile, dumb, rich people.

(51,076 posts)People have had to wake up some by now with the knowledge that the pukies predetermined that weren't going to let President Obama accomplished anything and have, in our face fashion, did just that. I think a lot of people are paying attention this time. Can you imagine the progress we could have made except for the treasonous actions of the Republicon house, I mean some of the shit they did was bordering on treason.
The republicons have made no bones about doing what is good for the republicons rather than the country as a whole. I think that hits a little bit too close to home for a lot of people.

(67,107 posts)it doesn't effect them, that they've got to get the black guy out of office, stop the socialists, the gays, the blacks, the educated, all those "others." It's pure brain washing. ... and they are proud of their ignorance.

(611 posts)I know it's not fair of me, but I think of "President Eisenhower expressing astonishment and alarm on discovering that fully half of all Americans have below average intelligence".
Most people aren't disturbingly stupid, perhaps, but many have no time or energy, are inattentive to politics, have been turned off to politics in general or to both parties. Many are running just to keep up and won't be paying attention to the election until the very end, if at all.
