Republicans very much support big government, but only in areas that don't personally harm them. Gay rights, abortion, etc. I used to laugh at Rick Santorum, he had the nerve to claim he was the most "freedom loving candidate"! The problem is, his definition of freedom applies only to the Catholic church.

With a heavy dose of Tomäs de Torquemada. It is not just women's rights. It's also education, especially science education.

In a week when we are celebrating Neil Armstrong's first human footprint on the surface of the moon, and simultaneously celebrating a compact SUV sized autonomous machine on the surface of Mars, and recently the discovery of what may very well be the/a Higgs Boson, why would anybody vote for a Republican?

They think humans and dinosaur theropods (e.g., T. Rex) lived with humans and were vegetarians -- the Hannah-Barbera school of paleontology. Yaba, Daba Doo!!! They think the universe is less than 10,000 years old and that all the myriad of fossils show lifeforms that were created and lived all at the same time.

And, of course, global climate change is a fraud.

These are the people who want to reform education, like in Louisiana where HS texts are written at Bob fucking Jones University.

If we lose this election, we're screwn.
