rush: 'I think the country could survive 4 more years of Obama' (smells like defeat)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/23/rush-limbaugh-country-survive-four-more-years-obama_n_1825715.html?utm_hp_ref=media

Rush Limbaugh made a surprising statement about President Obama on his Thursday radio show.

After discussing what he called the "discouraging" results about the middle class found in the new Pew study, Limbaugh said that he thought "the country could survive four more years of Obama."

This statement comes somewhat as a shock, considering this is the broadcaster who has said that Obama "hates" America, charged that he was "leading a war on traditional marriage," and compared the president of the United States to an Oreo cookie in the past.

message to his base that they are going to steal the election so don't worry about it.
Here we are working like hell to "get out the vote."
They don't appear to be worried about that at all.

Limbaugh's remark has to have some dog whistle element. I find it hard to believe he could suddenly concede that we can survive four more years of Obama as POTUS after working his knuckle dragging listeners into a rabid state of hate for the past four years.

that he did not think this country could survive with voters that would put someone like Barack Obama back in office.

his "legitimacy". For years, conservatives have been claiming the Obama administration will "destroy America". Now they can't very well have him serve two terms and have America still be here. It would make them look like fear mongers and demagogues and straight up liars. So now it's a "we never said Obama was bad for America" rewrite.

We should trot out the video and audio tape and shove the years of false claims of calamity in all their faces.

The leader of the rethuglican party? The one who set the obstructionist agenda that succeded in the nation's credit rating being dropped because his zombies in congress followed his every word, bowed down to him, and apologized hastily when they crossed him?

Fortunately, his advertiser pool and listener base is shrinking rapidly.
