Cop slams Occupy Orlando protester to the ground for JAYWALKING

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/os-occupy-orlando-arrest-jaywalking-20111213,0,6977940.story

<snip>
Louis Levite, 47, was charged with resisting arrest without violence and was given a jaywalking citation about 11:45 p.m. by two officers patrolling Sen. Beth Johnson park where Occupy Orlando protesters have been camped out for nearly two months, according to a police arrest affidavit.

Officer Ashlee Windler wrote in the report that Levite was crossing Ivanhoe Boulevard at an angle "other than ninety degrees," when her sergeant yelled "come here" to get the man's attention.
...
The report said Sgt. W. Cail ran at Levite as he fled and told him to "get on the ground."

Levite did not comply so Cail pulled him to the ground and ordered him to stop resisting, the report said.

Holy shit! This guy was crossing the road "at an angle other than 90 degrees"? What is this world coming to? Good thing Orlando doesn't have any real problems for police to worry about, so that they can harass and bully people exercising their First Amendment rights.
