and it's not because he's rich.
It is because he invested his wealth in other countries to AVOID paying taxes in America.
Because investing in other countries rather than in America - especially after American being an the border of another depression, is the LEAST Patriotic thing he could do. And doing it while running for the most important job in our country.
We don't care that he did it legally. We don't care that he is incredibly rich.
But we do care that he cares more about his money than investing in programs that make America great.
Mitt Romney is a greedy little asshole who loves his money more than the country that he wants to run.
So shut the fuck up with your Luntz talking point that Americans don't care about Mitt's taxes.
OH YES WE DO! And this plea for Mitt to release his taxes is NOT going away.

(31,706 posts)...and Luntz knows this inside and out. Say a lie enough times and people WILL believe it. Say that people don't care about Willard's taxes on enough radio and teevee shows and people will get numbed to it...bored...yesterday's news. It's worked in the past and it could very well work again this year.
One would think that all the talk about Rmoney's refusal to release his taxes would take a big toll on his poll numbers but they haven't. What does that say about how polarized this country is? It also says to expect team Willard to play out the clock on this one...never releasing anything then browbeat the corporate media into how this is "yesterday's news" and to move onto whatever the latest spin is...
