&feature=player_embedded#!Rep. Steve King (R-IA) told Iowans yesterday that if Romney-Ryan wins in November, hes going to have a direct line to the top.
Im going to work to put my good friend Paul Ryan in as vice president and were going to have a strong voice from Iowa right there in the West Wing and sometimes in the Oval Office of the White House, King told a crowd at the Iowa State Fair Wednesday. Your voice will be heard in Washington, D.C. And Iowans will lead with our values, our work ethic, for the rest of the country.
This isnt the first time King has said he has Ryans ear.
Paul listens to me, King told the Washington Post this week.

King is among the most controversial members of the House GOP. On immigration in particular, King is considered among the furthest-right politicians. In June, he promised to single-handedly defeat President Obamas policy implementing parts of the DREAM Act in court. Earlier this month, he led the charge on a Republican legislative push to ban non-English government communications. In the past hes warned that Islamic terrorist groups are using Americas southern border to smuggle terrorists into the country.

Across the nation, Congress is joining Rmoney (and even Ryan) in running from the Ryan budget. This fool is doubling down on it.

(16,254 posts)6. If Steve King is going to be part of an RR administration...
I'm not worried about them taking office, as King is as bat-sheet crazy as Bachmann. Both think they are God's gift to the GOP/Tea Party and neither are sane enough to realize how crazy they sound.
King's ego is showing, for sure. If RR get in, Ryan won't even KNOW King/Bachmann. What tools.

Now that Romney and Ryan basically have conceded Iowa this early, it's best to focus on the downtickets and get rid of the baggers and Steve "Asshole" King.
