I work for a TV station and from time to time we get some great posts from our viewers. This one in particular made me think that my station needs to do more:
I think the MEDIA should be reporting on all of these voter suppression tactics the Repubs are enacting to block our VOTE! You have an obligation to keep us informed yet you bring us all this non-sense. Do us all a favor & inform people on the real issues. Not once on Facebook or on the daily news broadcast have you spoke about the Voter Purge that's going on here in Fl. Nor have you spoke about the cutting of early voting hours & days and who these cuts would affect. I would appreciate it if you all would report on some VERY SERIOUS ISSUES we face this election season. Thank You,
Today is election day in Florida. We were cut back to 1 week of early voting and no-one talked about it. There was no voting on Sunday. Saturday was cut back to 1pm. Today I'm leaving work early so I can vote before the polls close at 7p - barring traffic I should be home before 6:30p. Hopefully I get there in time to vote . . .
