Tonight is this month's LA Artwalk. LAPD "vows to arrest chalkers". Demonizing machine!

For any who do not know, 10-25 OccupyLA members attended last month's event and were peaceful, even reading relevant legislation to the local LAPD commander beforehand. LAPD made 17 or so arrests for people using children's water-soluble "sidewalk chalk", which vanishes when hit by the regular pressure of a garden hose...Artwalk members and locals were horrified as several of their own were aggressively arrested for chalking, even one man who did a (Heart) the police graphic, and meant it.

Why? The true power in LA are the Central Cities Association, or CCA. www.ccala.org
They gentrify and own and build and are grabbing up downtown as their own. They have criminalized the poor and have driven them out of areas they wished to turn into pricey rentals. They are doing it again to Skid Row as evidenced through multiple hit pieces in the LA Times, one written by the CEO of CCA herself, Carol Schatz, by name.

OccupyLA have members on Skid Row who have held their camp until this week, when nuisance arrests and blatant targeting became too much. I have documented some of this here on DU, and more is to come. OccupyLA joined other community networks against the CCA and have for months, been camping at CCA's doorstep every night. Recently, hit pieces against OccupyLA have begun appearing in the LA Times, but now mentioning CCA by name, and even quoting (at great length), Carol Schatz.

So. CCA are now directly attacking OccupyLA as they are a direct threat to CCA's plans. Please note CCA brag about their direct influence in city hall regarding getting made business-friendly legislation. Of course, corporate power influencing or controlling the state is Mussolini's definition of Fascism. It's here, now, in LA.

Last month's police riot was CCA's call, CCA's fault. The LAPD officer who runs the area also oversees Skid Row. I've recorded him at the Skid Row camp a few times; it's personal. It's Business. So tonight, with his promise of "increased (LAPD) presence", and today's front-page hit piece against Occupy Skid Row and OccupyLA, expect local media to roll out the blame machinery and to demonize at will, that which directly threatens money's ties to city hall legislation.

The old, old story.

Why are CCA afraid of children's chalk? Because of the messages it is used to present. CCA actually call for the elimination of "intelligence-based grafitti" in their future plans document:

They also talk about something they call "Neighborhood Prosecutors". Sounds Fascist.

This is today's LA Times hit piece. It purposefully omits several key items, such as the health department's report did not include the area upon which Occupy Skid Row were situated. The report clearly indicates this boundary. Also, it implies the presence at OSR of fecal matter. I'd been down there often and noted none of it, and the health department DID come through, hoping to record any damning evidence, which WOULD have appeared in their report along with the other photos of feces and rat burroughs in other areas of Skid Row. It does -not- mention that Row residents are arrested if they are caught sitting or sleeping on the sidewalk between 6AM and 9PM (there are signs), or for not completely taking down their tents. I have video of the area commander threatening a local with arrest for not having fully taken down his tent; have posted it here before. These are the "crimes" the article mentions but does not clarify whatsoever, leaving the worst to the imagination as is obviously intended. Are you proud of this, LA Times?

Please spare 10 seconds to hear LAPD Chief Beck and mayor Mr. Villain talking about how you must obey the police and that water-soluble children's chalk is not free speech.

Because Trendwatchers, tonight's TV and tomorrow's paper will be a festival of demonizers in full regalia. And there is an addition....50+ Occupy Oakland and Fresh Juice Party members have arrived to help Chalkupy the world. There are solidarity actions in different cities. 16+ LAPD were at the meeting place earlier, watching for CHALK CRIMES, because you wouldn't want any robbers or rapists being deterred through actually seeing a cop in a crime-ridden zone...not when CCA's precious plans are at stake!

Police Brace For ‘Occupy’ Protests Near ArtWalk In Downtown LA

http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/video/7596379-police-brace-for-occupy-protests-near-artwalk-in-downtown-la/

If you've been paying attention, there were only a dozen or two dozen Occupiers at the last Artwalk and most had gone to a bar by the time riot police were shooting up locals. Please "brace" yourself for lies demonizing Occupy.
