The Dallas Morning News has officially posted 405 articals/editorials either headlining or mentioning Ted Cruz,R primary senatorial candidate.
72 articles mentioning Paul Sadler,Democratic Senatorial candidate...and 85% of those also featured Cruz.
Now,how do you change THAT???

(11,175 posts)My understanding is that Sadler's opponent in the runoff was a perennial candidate who'd never won anything and was widely regarded as a no-hoper. Under those circumstances, you'd expect the newspapers to give the Democratic contest less coverage.
Go to the spring of 2004 and see how the Dallas Morning News covered presidential politics. I'll bet they gave much more space to the Democrats.

(11,175 posts)I don't know this paper and I'm certainly not arguing that, overall, it's objective. My only point was that, during the primary and runoff period, one would expect even a fair newspaper to devote more coverage to the party with the genuine contest.
