I agree, and I am glad he stopped any more from being killed. It's entirely likely more than I could do in the same situation.

make a bad name for all the rest. But think about this, that 20 year veteran had no idea what was in store for him on this Sunday morning. They go to work everyday with people lying to them, afraid of them, working usually with broken or inadequate equipment due to budget cuts, and still are expected to do their job. Go on a ride along with one and you will see what I mean. Yes they are usually Republican b/c the Repugs used to get them funds and support them. Democrats always seemed weak when it came to their issues. In Texas, Governor Good Hair speaks at their conventions, no Dems in sight (other than me, who has 2 strikes b/c I am also a lawyer). I support them where it counts (I do my pro bono for them). Republicans have done their work with cops as a whole by pretending to address their concerns. They pass laws that help and protect the police, and when it comes to money, they blame Dems for all of the problems! They are brainwashed as well and Liberals just attack them which confirm's their worldview. Things do not happen in a vacume, we helped shape their attitudes towards us, so we need to help and encourage them. Not all cops are bad, not all lawyers are bad.... At DU we stand for the principle that everyone should be equal. It is no longer OPENLY acceptable to be a racist and say ALL people of the ____ race are ____. We should learn not to go with stereotypes of any kind.
