What!? that can't be the party of 'family values' have members who frequent strip joints!? Shocking, I say, Shocking!!:
Tampa Bay strip club owners can't wait for the GOP convention to get to town.
"Hands down, the Republicans have always been our best customers," says Angelina Spencer, the Executive Director of the Association of Club Executives. It is the national trade organization for adult nightclubs.
"And they tend to be business-focused," she says. "Thats really all I can say. We get clients from all walks of life, but for whatever reason
I have heard club owners say, 'Boy, those Republicans really are great customers.'"
Can you feel the "family values" vibe?
House Republicans are well aware of their members' proclivity for some non-marital T&A and realize it might be a bit of a, er, problem in the age of cell phone cameras and Twitter.
House Republicans are officially worried that lawmakers and staffers will stray off the straight-and-narrow path at the GOP convention in Tampa this month.
With the advent of cell phones, anyone can be an opposition tracker, so members should be wary of doing anything questionable in public, Rep. Pete Sessions, the National Republican Congressional Committee chairman, warned fellow Republicans at a Capitol Hill meeting Wednesday.
"Lets say you are going to have a cup of coffee. Perhaps, its a late night cup of coffee. Be careful," the Texas Republican said at a conference committee meeting, according to several sources who attended.
Yes. "A late night cup of coffee." That's so damaging! Don't let anyone catch you, you know, sipping a latte at 2 AM. At a titty bar.

(11,330 posts)so lets not hear any more nonsense about how bad they are for the common man.
of course, those things aren't really great for family values but when it comes to a choice between personal family values and job creations, the GOP is willing to make personal sacrifices to stuff those $5 bills into G-strings

(1,278 posts)NC state law forbids nudity in establishments that serve alcohol. So far, no commercials that I have heard for the usual establishments that bring in named entertainers, but it is still 4 weeks away, so there is time. The nature of adult entertainment here is that when entertainers are brought in, they are not generally diverse, unlike the Democrats will be, and unless someone gets stupid at the Uptown (the closest club to TWC Arena, and BofA Stadium), it will not be covered well.
