Some good news: 1H2012 US CO2 emissions at 1992 levels.

Obama's second biggest legacy, after healthcare, will be killing coal. Reducing CO2 is icing on the cake, but eliminating all that mercury, particulate matter, acid rain gases, and smog precursors provide such a drastic improvement for American health.

US CO2 emissions increased 12% from 1990 to 2010; UK emissions DECREASED by 23% over the same period, for comparison.
