Jon Stewart: Congress either assholes or five-year-olds

On his show Thursday night, The Daily Show host Jon Stewart called out “the assholes” in his newest segment, named “Jon Stewart Fingers Some Assholes Then Gives Them A Vigorous Tongue-Lashing.”

Stewart explained that House Republicans have proposed allowing financial regulation, but only until the unemployment rate drops to 6 percent. Unfortunately for Republicans, in their legislation they mistakenly used the word “employment” instead of “unemployment.”

When House Republican’s sought unanimous consent to fix the typo, Democrats declined.

“Lets be clear what just happened,” Stewart said. “Republicans made a typo, they asked the Democrats if they wouldn’t mind if they went back to correct it, and the Democrats said, ‘Yeah, fuck that.’”

2. They are assholes

They are assholes that don't care about the people who elected them. Let's screw the poor, the old, and the unemployed but let's make sure 2% of the populations does brilliantly while the remaining 98% become indentured servants or homeless. Democracy is at a stand still, once we were the shining light and a beacon, now we are represented by assholes.
