Wow, bill Krystol actually said we need fair minded gun control

And stood for common sense, and no assault weapons.

Listening to Steph...but that is the second right winger to say such.

Ok, ok, he accused POTUS of having no backbone, but now I get the panic, yes, panic, from the NRA and the fringe. We are starting to see this in right wing world...

Things are starting to change...ever so slowly.

Sorry guys...but when Steve Baldwin tells CNN we don't need these, and Krystol goes there as well...we are starting, ever so slowly to see the change.

For the record, in spite of the side swipe at POTUS, Krystol is my hero for the day...given the realities in RW world, it takes courage to go there.

It will gain more traction, and so on and so forth.

It will take more shootings sadly, for a majority of the political class (both parties) to get the message and go counter the NRA.

My back country is a perfect example...dems are instructed to simply not go there, or the NRA will pour money even into reliable red districts.

No the talk is a little stronger than after Tucson...

And it will be stronger after the next shooting, which will come.

I am not saying it will happen overnight, but this is the begining. On this, remember, the political class is behind most of the American people, and this includes the pundit class.

It was a pathetic attempt to attack President Obama. If Billy were serious about passing gun control legislation, he would start by calling for Republicans to refuse NRA money.

bait because if the Dems try to do anything, then Krystol will be the first to say Obama is trying to take yer guns.
He should put the challenge to the republicans who hold the house, and have them come up with a bill, because that's where almost all legislature starts..in the house.
If he did that, I'd believe he was sincere and not trying to bait Democrats.

I see it as a sign, some in the RW machine are willing to swimm partially upstream, and get off reservation. I'll watch for more doing that.

The attack is second nature. " The sky is blue, dems lack leadership." it's just the way they are.

With Krystal's history, he does nothing without an agenda that furthers the extreme end of the republican party, imo, and this latest supposedly moderate position is no different. It has little to do with gun control and more to do with another way to attack the Dems and the President.

Gun control (gun grabber to the NRA ) language is getting a tad more "shrill" why the NRA and the far off gun nuts are in far more of a panic.

In the wake of the tragedy in Tucson, Ariz., NBC's Jamie Gangel asked Cheney how he felt about a new push aimed at firearm restrictions, which have run the gamut from a bill prohibiting them near legislators to an effort to ban high-capacity magazines. Cheney, a longtime friend of the National Rifle Association, perhaps surprisingly seemed at least somewhat receptive to the latter.

For the record, yesterday, while in my back country we had a conversation with a Tea Party member (who holds a lot of similar views to Occupy fyi) who also believes that all liberals are into traps and automatically are the direct impersonation of the devil.

Good nooz., he has no access to airwaves, but if I assumed what you just did of every damn statement by an R... I would be in a very dark place indeed.

By the way, we did have a very civilized discusion, I know gasp, shocking... and educated somebody on Citizens United.
