My kids joke saying Duncan pup is my favorite child. His birthday is 5/22 he will be four.
I told them Birthday party 5/25 be here or get written out of the will.
What really started this is Friday i was on phone and i gave them 19 wrong birthday he corrected me.
Then our one daughter asked when’s her and her sisters birthdays i had to think on it. Then she questioned me on Duncs.
Yet I knew Duncan’s my golden boy 5/22/2020 , Boog the chocolate lab 5/3/2010 and the best golden retriever ever Mr Big paws 3/30/2008 without hesitation.
I loved all our dogs yet the golden boy was gift to Liz for our 35 th anniversary he was a surprise.
Day I brought him home he was 8 weeks she was so happy oh it’s gonna be unicorns and rainbow just like Mr big paws she said holding the golden furry potato.
Didn’t work out like that he turned into a shit head like Boog didn’t like rules or the word no.
First night in bed with us he rolled out bed middle night the puppy crying panic or scared I’m alone and i grabbed him. Stuck him between Liz and i second night he rolled out bed again same i grabbed him. He must gotten warm and would crawl away from us as he was sleeping between us both.
In bed as he was snuggling into Liz and whimpering i said two nights in a row you think i should return him ask for a smart one.
She said stop he’s a baby i smiled and said yea baby Huey.

I love reading your posts about Duncan. He is lucky to have you and you to have him. I will think about him on "our birthday".
