Happy Mother's Day

It's mother's day!! Again.
I'm usually on my way to a quilters retreat so the family hasn't had to do anything for several years.
This year I'm not going. Husband asks "what are we doing for MD"?
I say "I'm not making any decisions about MD"
Son suggests a place I say let me know what time and pick me up. He agreed.
I said maybe your sister and her husband might want to come. Daughter and son are not happy with each other.
We will see what happens.
Should be interesting.
I'm too old for any sh##.

8. My mom is gone, too. Lost her around Christmas about 20 years ago

I, too, think of her, my grandmother and her mother as they lived together my whole childhood. My father’s mother died when he was 12 but I have pictures. Mother’s Day can be tough but they’re in our hearts everyday and keeping the sweet memories close helps.

Actually I was thinking about my mother and her mother and sisters. And grandma's mother and all the ones before us.

6. My mother was a Chicago Cubs fan

Her favorite player was Roy Campanella. At least she got to see the Cubs win the Series, before she passed away. RIP, Mom

9. Happy Mother's Day to all DU moms!

My mom is 81 & still kicking, thank heavens. I have the good fortune to spend today with my husband & 2 college daughters who are home for summer break.
