It's mother's day!! Again.
I'm usually on my way to a quilters retreat so the family hasn't had to do anything for several years.
This year I'm not going. Husband asks "what are we doing for MD"?
I say "I'm not making any decisions about MD"
Son suggests a place I say let me know what time and pick me up. He agreed.
I said maybe your sister and her husband might want to come. Daughter and son are not happy with each other.
We will see what happens.
Should be interesting.
I'm too old for any sh##.

(16,527 posts)I, too, think of her, my grandmother and her mother as they lived together my whole childhood. My fathers mother died when he was 12 but I have pictures. Mothers Day can be tough but theyre in our hearts everyday and keeping the sweet memories close helps.

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
