An NYT commenter: For the "we need to know more about her policies" crowd

This is not a contest between Harris and Trump as much as it’s a national referendum on who the American people are.

Do we care about the rule of law?

Do we care about division?

Do we care about bigotry?

Do we care about the environment?

Do we care if a candidate is a felon?

Do we tolerate being constantly gaslighted and lied to?

Do we care about the social fabric?

Do we care about others?

Do we understand that diversity is a benefit?

Do we care about personal autonomy?

Do we want this nation to be a right-wing Christian autocracy?

Do we understand what’s at stake in November?

I am so sad that these questions remain unresolved.

IMO, Harris actually did address a number of important policies. Often she did so with a light touch that may resonate better with the average voter than it does with pundits and political junkies.

But those who say they "need to find out more about her policies" are really saying (thinking) I likely won't vote for Dems, but I don't want to admit that to you, the person in front of me.

Before the debate. She knew that wrecking Trump would be her focus of the "debate".
But of course the pundits never read her published policies
