Anchorage Mayor Runoff: Candidates Make Final Push as 41,000+ Ballots are Processed

The 2024 mayor runoff election in Anchorage will close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday; we could get results soon after that.

Your Alaska Link found both mayoral candidates out doing some last-minute campaigning. Suzanne LaFrance (D) waving signs of support at the intersection of Benson and New Seward. Incumbent Mayor Dave Bronson (R) was also out sign waving at Minnesota and Northern Lights.

According to election officials, ballots are already rolling in and as of Friday, over 41,000 ballots have been processed. Folks can vote in person, turn their ballot into a drop box, or by mail.

The division of elections wants to remind folks to vote early, especially if you're going to vote by mail.
