Funny how things persist.
Democratic Senator helps Mexican family cross the border
"A pregnant Mexican woman suffering complications was told by immigration officers that they couldnt process her familys asylum claim at the U.S. border on Saturday before a U.S. senator intervened to persuade the officers to take the woman to a Texas hospital.
While visiting a migrant shelter Saturday, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) grew concerned about a woman who was 38 weeks pregnant and suffering from preeclampsia and other complications. The senator and his staff decided to take the woman, her husband and 3-year-old son to a port of entry to make their asylum claim."

A good description of the right wing.
"...the older generation has watched the arrival of the New Age with a mixture of fear and disdain. They remain programmed to the old ways-embracing immorality in business, war, and politics while denouncing bathing suits and boring, amateurish pornographic films, which, interestingly, are mostly ignored by the young and patronized by the middle-aged."
John Keel, The Eighth Tower, page 22
From what I've heard and read so far on Mueller
I think the Republicans are showing their sheer desperation.
National Conservatism Conference
"...the discussion mostly involved the horrors of diversity and the unseen hand of globalist elites."

Been reading a great book called Conspiracies of Conspiracies, in which author Thomas Milan Konda traces the right-wing conspiracy theories dating from the 18th Century. I've known about most of these for some time, but he puts it all together in a rather eye-opening timeline. These elites, of course, are always Liberals (especially Jews). And "the unseen hand" is an appellation that has always characterized the theories.
Anti-Semitism runs rampant in the Republican Party, hiding behind a smokescreen of Zionism.
Authoritarianism
"Militarism, police, rule by fear, are all the desperate measures used to control a subjective conscious populace restless with identity crises and divided off into their multitudinous privacies of hopes and hates."
Julian Jaynes, The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind, page 205
Republicans scramble to normalize their racism.
"The more the suburban, educated whites who abandoned the GOP in 2018 grow convinced that this agenda is an outgrowth of racial animus and white nationalism, the worse it is politically for Republicans."
"And as Trumps own rhetoric has repeatedly confirmed, this is inescapably about reducing the number of nonwhite immigrants here."

MSN is calling it as it is: Republicans want to create a white nation.
Racist tweets--yeah, that's what he meant.
"[Rep Andy] Harris tried to explain that the president likely had meant to send the Democrats back to their constituency. 'He could have meant go back to the district they came from--to the neighborhood they came from,' Harris said."
