TikTokers wished a 97-year-old Auschwitz survivor a 'happy Holocaust' as some 'Free Palestine' suppo

Source: Yahoo News

At 97, Lily Ebert is one of the oldest Jewish creators on TikTok. She is also a survivor of the Auschwitz death camp, where the Nazis murdered 1.5 million Jews.

Neither facts were enough to restrain the online mob looking for Jews to abuse on social media since Israel's bombing campaign on Gaza began.

After posting an innocuous TikTok video wishing her followers a restful Shabbat (Sabbath) from her London home, her great-grandson and the account's administrator said she was flooded with "messages of hate."

A "Happy Holocaust," "Peace be upon Hitler," and "Ask her if she thinks the treatment of Palestinians reminds her [of] the treatment she got in the camps" were some of the comments Ebert received

Since leaving office, Trump has charged the Secret Service more than $40,000 to use space at Mar-a-L

Source: The Telegraph

Former president Donald Trump charged the Secret Service more than $40,000 this spring for rooms that Trump's own protective detail used while guarding him at his Mar-a-Lago Club, according to federal spending records.

The records show that Trump's club charged the Secret Service $396.15 every night starting Jan. 20, the day he left the White House and moved full time into his Palm Beach, Fla., club.

Those charges, ultimately paid by taxpayers, continued until at least April 30, the spending records show, for a total of $40,011.15. The charges were for a single room used as a workspace by Secret Service agents, according to one person familiar with the payments.

Video: Jewish Men Attacked By Alleged Pro-Palestinian Mob Outside LA Sushi Restaurant

Source: CBS

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Authorities are investigating whether an attack on diners that occurred outside a Beverly Grove restaurant late Tuesday night was a Jewish hate crime.

The brawl occurred a little before 10 p.m. outside Sushi Fumi in the 300 block of North La Cienega Boulevard.

Witnesses said a mob of pro-Palestinians attacked a group of Jewish men who were dining at the restaurant. Cell phone video showed a group of men get out of the car and start to attack them while yelling racial slurs.

One of the diners, who is not Jewish, told CBSLA a caravan waving pro-Palestinian flags approached and then began throwing bottles at him and the group he was dining with. The man said he is a photographer and the group was meeting at the restaurant to plan a wedding.

Andrew Yang Helps Photographer Facing Attack on Staten Island Ferry

Source: NBC New York

A photographer who was shoved by a man who then came at him with a metal pole during a trip on the Staten Island ferry on Friday was able to get out of harm’s way when New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Yang intervened.

Spencer Platt, a photographer with Getty Images, said he was on the top deck of the boat heading toward Staten Island around 11 a.m., talking on the phone after taking some photos of Yang, who was headed to campaign events. Platt said when he turned around, the man was “just right in my face, like an inch away.”

The man pushed him, sending him down onto a bench, and Platt said he saw he was carrying some kind of metal rod.

Ivanka Trump won't challenge Rubio for Senate seat in 2022

Source: The Hill

Ivanka Trump will not challenge Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for his Senate seat in 2022, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to The Hill.

The New York Times first reported the development on Thursday, citing an unidentified source who told the newspaper that Trump was not considering a Senate bid, despite rumors that she would primary Rubio in the next election.

“Marco did speak with Ivanka a few weeks ago,” Nick Iacovella, a spokesman for Rubio, told the Times. “Ivanka offered her support for Marco’s reelection. They had a great talk.”

Rubio, who was first elected by the state back in 2010. will be running for his third term in the Senate next year.

French police make arrests after teacher beheaded in Paris suburb

Source: Reuters

CONFLANS-SAINTE-HONORINE, France (Reuters) - French police were questioning nine people in custody on Saturday after a suspected Islamist sympathiser beheaded a school teacher in broad daylight on the street in a Paris suburb, police sources said.
Police shot the attacker dead minutes after he murdered 47-year-old history teacher Samuel Paty on Friday. The killing shocked the country and carried echoes of an attack five years ago on the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Investigators were seeking to establish whether the attacker had acted alone or had accomplices. French media reported that he was an 18-year-old of Chechen origin.

Paty had earlier this month shown his pupils cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad in a civics class on freedom of expression, angering a number of Muslim parents. Muslims believe that any depiction of the Prophet is blasphemous.

1 killed, 7 hurt in late-night stabbings in UK's Birmingham

Source: ABC News

LONDON -- A man was killed and seven people injured in late-night stabbings in a busy nightlife area of the central England city of Birmingham, police said Sunday.

Police said they were searching for a lone male suspect in what appeared to be random attacks.
Chief Superintendent Steve Graham of West Midlands Police said detectives were still investigating the motive but “there is absolutely no suggestion at all that this is terror-related.”

West Midlands Police said officers were called to reports of a stabbing shortly after midnight on Sunday. That was soon followed by reports of other stabbings across the city center over two hours.

Trump's weapon is to claim voter fraud. Vote in person & take it away from him.

What can he say if the vast majority vote in person? Nothing other than useless blathering. The risk of catching Covid while voting is low. You're not going to be in a crowded, enclosed space. Most lines are outside. People are spaced. In the voting area, you wont be there longer than 5-10 mins tops. And even then not close to someone.
We ALL need to show up & do it in person. WE, the people, can take away his biggest weapon. The weapon the Russians are using. All by just voting in person. At least in the numbers we did in '18. Obviously there are some who simply cannot vote in person, but most of those probably have always voted absentee. But if we can spend an hour at the grocery store or elsewhere, we can spend an hour or 2 at the polls. We can DO THIS!
Put on our masks, vote in person & shut him DOWN.

USC Dornsife launches 2020 election tracking poll; Biden leads by 11 points

Source: USC

Two centers at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences have launched a daily nationwide poll to track Americans’ opinions about the presidential candidates.

USC researchers will base election forecasts on an updated version of methods used in their groundbreaking 2016 election poll, which tracked crucial inflection points in the election by following the same individuals over time. Data from the 2016 USC poll suggested late-breaking support among certain groups that contributed to Donald Trump’s surprise win in the electoral college.

“Our 2016 Daybreak poll was the USC debut of experimental polling methods pioneered by our team at Rand in 2012,” said Jill Darling, survey director of the 2020 Daybreak Poll, which is conducted by the USC Dornsife Center for Economic and Social Research.

“We adjusted our model for the 2018 election and had great success predicting the congressional outcome. This election cycle we’ll be using that model, and two additional methodologies, to track voter support for presidential candidates. We are also asking voters which party’s candidate they’ll vote for in congressional races.”

This poll showed Trump winning in '16. I like the new ways they're evaluating voters.
