As of the year 2000, 12,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery, 7,000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals, 20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals, 80,000 deaths/year from nosocomial infections in hospital, and 106,000 deaths/year from nonerror, adverse effects of medications.

Did you read that last number? 106,000 deaths per year from nonerror, adverse effects from prescribed medicine? In the past 12 years since the publication there have been nearly 1.3 million people who have been killed by FDA approved drugs.

And now the pharmaceutical industry has a larger pool to kill.
