Man Arrested for Intentional Hit and Run of Young Native American Men

Source: BET

A 31-year-old Washington man has been arrested and charged for the death of a 20-year-old man from the Quinault Tribal Nation.

On Saturday, Jimmy Smith-Kramer and friends were celebrating his birthday at Donkey Creek near the Humptulips Campground when a white Chevy pickup truck started driving erratically around the group, according to witnesses.

The driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was accompanied by a 27-year-old woman, a 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman in the truck, reported KING5.

I haven't seen any word of arrests in this case anywhere else yet. Good that the a-hole has been caught!

The Expanse: Dream of Peace

This is a fan cut trailer for S1 and 2. Note of caution that it could be spoiler filled, but also if you've never seen this fantastic sci-fi series, there might not be much context to spoil. Enjoy!

The disturbing thoughts of a Trumper

I may have been mostly at fault here, but I was tired of listening to my coworker rant on and on about illegal immigrants and how millions are flooding over the border. So instead of removing myself from the situation, I decided to start poking at him to try to understand this guy's thought process. Or lack thereof.

Me: "Do you know how expensive it'll be to round up all the illegal immigrants you're talking about? Oh, hey, you know, bullets are cheap."

Him: *just stares for a moment before becoming more enthusastic* "Yeah, yeah they are!"

Me: "So are you going to volunteer for the firing squad or the mass grave detail?"

Him: "Uh. I guess."

Me: "Do you think maybe invading Mexico will stop it?"

Him: "Yeah! We should carpet bomb Mexico, that'll choke it off!"

By the end of it I got him wound up enough to agree that invading and occupying Mexico was a good idea, drop nukes on Mexico City, and build another wall along Mexico's southern border with Guatemala.

Yeah, I admit that was fun for all of maybe ten minutes, because the ugly reality this is the actual thought process of not just this guy but possibly millions of other Americans. And that is fucking terrifying.

I'm considering reporting this guy to management, but he'd know instantly who ratted him out. I'll sit on it for a few weeks, I think.

A Spanish-language video was published during the first presidential debate, showing a man who traveled to Los Angeles and sold Trump T-shirts to unsuspecting Trump supporters. While the shirt read “Donald el que lo lea,” and showed the Republican nominee in a clown nose, no one noticed it was mocking Trump. The phrase is a variation of a well-known Mexican saying that only Mexicans and Mexican-Americans would understand.

The Second Presidential Debate Will Try Something New

"Viewers unhappy with the questions asked at Monday night’s debate will have a shot to weigh in before Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton meet again on October 9: For the first time, the networks producing the town-hall style debate have agreed to accept questions voted on through the internet."

IMO, this isn't going to end well ... for Trump.

Opening up questions to the internet is kind of like throwing an all-you-can eat buffet for a hungry pack of bears.

Jehovah’s Witnesses accused of vandalizing 7,000 year-old pyramid out of fears of devil worship

Members of the Christian sect state that they are following the word of God and believe that the sites are still used for traditional rituals that are “not Christian” and may involve devil worship.

The 7,000 year-old Makonikha sanctuary in the central Mexican state of Hidalgo is comparable to Mecca for Muslims or the Vatican for Catholics, the researchers explained.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are claiming this story to be false

But from that same NYTimes article

"I was there, and the Jehovah's Witnesses said they had done it," Perez Lugo said, noting some were recent converts to the religion who used to go to the site for Otomi ceremonies.

Photographs Show Trump Supporters Pepper Spraying Protesters in The Face

A similar Trump event in San Jose last night has drawn national attention (and considerable worry from the typically anti-violence left) for violent behavior on the part of Trump’s opponents. But these photos show that both sides are resorting to increasingly brazen acts of violence.

------

I don't support the violence of the anti-Trump protesters in San Jose, but I do think this also needs attention.

Because clearly it worked out so well the first time.
