According to CNN, polls say Republican Party has highest favorability number in seven years...

Whaaaa? Maybe this country IS just that stupid.

Just less than half of Americans -- 45% -- said they have a favorable view of the Republican party, according to a Gallup poll released Monday. And while the party fears a difficult midterm Election Day in November, this is the highest favorable view of the party since January 2011, when the party hit 47%, immediately after retaking Congress during the 2010 midterm elections.

Football question regarding Kaepernick:

Does anyone know whether Kap is still hoping/ working toward playing ball again?

Apart from his status as a leader for social justice, dude is a hell of a dangerous quarterback. He torched my Packers bigtime a few times, and I have to believe he's still probably better than half of the guys currently starting in the NFL. I know he's got to be in the right system to take advantage of his running/ read-option abilities and mobility both inside and outside the pocket, but there MUST be a place for a guy this good. I mean, that is, if the owners aren't colluding...

So, old J. Beauregard Sessions finally hit back at TRUMP...

What's the over/under on how long it takes for TRUMP to finally fire the Keebler Elf?

I make it about a week. He doesn't like to be questioned, obviously.

To me the ultimate irony in all this TRUMP/Putin stuff

is that for most of my life (I was born in 1965) Republicans called liberals "commies."

Now when I hear a TRUMPer call someone a commie I just

You know what TRUMP will get in England, at least I hope? IGNORED, because football's coming home!

Being ignored would be the worst possible result, and it may happen given World Cup results. If indeed football's coming home, then bollocks to Trump!

Here are ten things I would rather do than watch Trump's announcement:

1. Have a root canal
2. Listen to Creed at full volume
3. Calculus
4. Relive being rejected for prom twice in one day
5. Relive prom (my eventual date threw up on me)
6. Eat glass
7. Dress like MC Hammer in public (I am a middle aged white guy)
8. Wear pants four sizes too small
9. Wear a meat suit to the dog park
10. Cheer for the Chicago Bears

The remaining TRUMP supporters are an overlapping Venn diagram comprised of three groups I think:

Win at any cost (literally ANY cost) Republicans, racists/misogynists, and dumbasses who get all their news from Fox/Hannity/Limbaugh. I believe this includes those in Congress who either openly support TRUMP, appease him, or refuse to vote against him on bills.

Did I miss anyone?

I was just disinvited from my niece's high school graduation because MAGA!

My Trump-humping brother in law just disinvited me from his daughter's graduation because of my (and my two daughters) refusal to praise The Donald for "all of the great things he's doing for people of faith." Really, I wish I was kidding. He and his wife are MAGAChristians and they don't want us spoiling their daughter's day... as if we were going to bring up politics (we weren't obviously). My wife will go and represent our family (it's her brother) and I will stay home with the girls.

So, Donald, I finally have something to thank you for... you got me out of what would have been a miserable afternoon, and instead I get to go to a movie with my girls. Thanks, buddy!
