OK, I'm definitely paranoid here, but I have to put this down somewhere.

Does anyone else find it odd that almost our entire executive branch leadership is going to be out of the country, and in a neutral country at that?

I fear Republicans may control the Country for decades with only one third of the people behind them

One third who do nothing and one third divided among themselves. Controlling the 60% of states which are home to 30% of the population gives them the Senate. Gerrymandering gives them the House. An antiquated Electoral system gives them the edge for the Presidency. And between the Executive and the Legislative branches, they populate the Judicial branch with their own. I'm not hopeful.

Been reading about Joseph Smith and the early Mormons.

The parallels to Trump and his followers are amazing. Most people recognized the con man that he was, but the more credulous believed nearly everything that he uttered, rationalized the lies he couldn't hide and proclaimed him a savior chosen by God, second only to Jesus. Sound familiar?

Does anyone doubt that some prominent Republicans are being blackmailed.

If you have dirt on someone you can do one of two things with it. Make it public to hurt someone, or hold onto it to control someone. The Russians hacked Democrats AND Republicans. They made public what they found on the Dems. They're holding what they got from the Repubs. What do you think they're doing with the dirt they have?

Tomorrow we celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ.

The New Year is just around the corner. In 2018 we should all listen to his words and live our lives closer to the way he taught us to be- if it was only possible. It would be great to find a way to welcome the stranger and give refuge to those hoping to find a better life here in our Country, but we must keep them out and throw out those who made it here because they bring drugs, and crime and they’re rapists. If only we could give up our guns, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword” but there are bad people out there and it takes a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun. Healing the sick is a wonderful idea, but if the sick can’t afford health care it is not my responsibility to help them get it. Turning the other cheek sounds good, but we are at war with terrorists, so if we have to torture a few Muslims or kill their family to win, so be it. Not to get too Old Testament here, but let’s not forget “thou shalt not kill”, except, I suppose cop killers and the civilians that get in the way of our drones. And we must remember what Jesus said about the gays and abortion, if somebody only knew what it was because as far as I know, nobody wrote it down. Yeah, if only Christians could act Christian, but that’s a little quaint in today’s world, isn’t it?

Here's something I haven't seen in the news for the last two days:

A half a dozen women coming out with any accusations against Sen Al Franken.
