Moe Shinola
Moe Shinola's Journal"Children of the Kingdom", by T.E.D. Klein
It's a short story that appeared in the Dark Forces collection from 1980, and is probably my favorite-ever short story. It's quite long, and just such a pleasure to read, like a favorite armchair, which is a weird thing to say about horror, but just try reading it and you'll see what I mean.
Recommending Solstice Wood, by Patricia A. McKillip
It was in the YA section of the used bookstore in Independence. MO, where I bought it, but my 70-year old mother took pleasure from this wonderful story by one of my favorite authors. The story really moves, right from the beginning, and the outcome is not clear even near the very end. The concept is as original as the "fae folk among us" genre probably could be. I thoroughly enjoyed Solstice Wood and I hope you read it.
Yes!!
Preach it, man. Everyone here knows the history of sedition law in this country, and how un-American it has always been. Don't make fools of yourselves, people.
