WTF is Up with the Rams' colors?

They'd be perfectly fine in St. Louis or Cleveland, but the last time they were the Los Angeles Rams, their colors were practically NEON, totally garish, bordering on tacky. In other words, the perfect look for La-La Land! Why can't they replicate the colors they brought to St. Louis BEFORE toning them down slightly for their last few years in Missouri?

Bernie Sanders Declines to Endorse Cynthia Nixon's Democratic-Socialist Challenge to Andrew Cuomo

SEPT 10, 2018 1:53 PM

Leftist challengers, some using the Bernie Sanders-popularized term “democratic socialist” to describe themselves, have won a number of high-profile upsets in this year’s Democratic primaries. One of the most high-profile leftist challengers of all is New York’s Cynthia Nixon, the activist (and famous actress) who’s running against incumbent governor Andrew Cuomo. As the son of a former governor himself and a frequent player in scandals involving corrupt corporate cash, Cuomo is the very epitome of the establishment Democrat, while Nixon has sought out and received the support of democratic socialists including the actual official Democratic Socialists of America group’s New York City chapter.

Bernie Sanders, meanwhile, just released his endorsements for New York’s statewide primary on Thursday—and while he’s getting b ehind Nixon’s running mate (lieutenant governor candidate Jumaane Williams) and the progressive state attorney general candidate who’s running as a Nixon ally (Zephyr Teachout), he’s not endorsing Nixon herself:

Bernie Sanders has just endorsed @JumaaneWilliams for lieutenant governor and @ZephyrTeachout for attorney general in New York.

Notably absent from the list: @CynthiaNixon for governor. But the message is still clear: "While we need to elect all the progressives running..."

Trump Says Tariffs Mean Ford Can Make New Model at Home. Ford Says It Won't.

By Neal E. Boudette

President Trump on Sunday suggested Ford Motor could begin making a small car in the United States instead of importing it from China. But the automaker quickly issued a statement saying it has no such plans.

In August, Ford announced it had killed a plan to import the Focus Active, a roomy hatchback, saying the tariffs Mr. Trump has threatened to impose on vehicles built in China would increase costs too much for the company to hit its profit targets.

Mr. Trump hailed the decision in a Twitter post on Sunday, apparently after he saw a report about the Focus Active on television. “‘Ford has abruptly killed a plan to sell a Chinese-made small vehicle in the U.S. because of the prospect of higher U.S. tariffs.’ CNBC. This is just the beginning. This car can now be BUILT IN THE U.S.A. and Ford will pay no tariffs!”

Ford announced its plan to withhold the Focus Active from the United States market on Aug. 31. After Mr. Trump’s tweet, the company responded with a statement that reiterated its reasoning: The niche model was not suited for domestic production. “It would not be profitable to build the Focus Active in the U.S. given an expected annual sales volume of fewer than 50,000 units and its competitive segment,” the company said.
