NSA’S Keith Alexander, on how it was to work for Bush vs. Obama
In a new interview with Australia's AFR:
"AFR: What were the key differences for you as director of NSA serving under presidents Bush and Obama? Did you have a preferred commander in chief?
Gen. Alexander: Obviously they come from different parties, they view things differently, but when it comes to the security of the nation and making those decisions about how to protect our nation, what we need to do to defend it, they are, ironically, very close to the same point. You would get almost the same decision from both of them on key questions about how to defend our nation from terrorists and other threats."

ACLU thanks Snowden for inspiring today's House approval of NSA reform bill
May 7, 2014,
"Laura W. Murphy, director of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office, had this reaction to todays vote:
'This is a historic turn of events in our government's approach to counterterrorism policies. This is the first bill to rein in government spying and bulk collection of our most private phone and digital information. This legislation will help keep Americans safe but will also provide greater privacy and transparency in our surveillance programs. The committees actions are a step towards bringing the governments surveillance regime in line with the Constitution, even as more reforms are needed. Todays milestone vote is a direct result of the important disclosures made by Edward Snowden.' "

I will adopt the nickname Lewinsky has for Maureen Dowd, who has often trashed Democrats such as Gore, Dean, Hillary, Obama, etc.
By the way, Moremean is pissed off. See her column today.
