George Takei Accused of Sexually Assaulting Former Model in 1981

Here we go again...

Accuser Scott R. Brunton says he was groped by the 'Star Trek' icon at the actor's Los Angeles condo.

A former model and actor is accusing Star Trek icon George Takei of sexual assault in 1981. The accuser, Scott R. Brunton, who was 23 at the time of the alleged incident, claims that Takei took advantage of him when he was most vulnerable.

"This happened a long time ago, but I have never forgotten it," Brunton tells The Hollywood Reporter in an interview. "It is one of those stories you tell with a group of people when people are recounting bizarre instances in their lives, this always comes up. I have been telling it for years, but I am suddenly very nervous telling it."

The two men went back to the actor's condo for a drink the same night. "We have the drink and he asks if I would like another," Brunton recalls. "And I said sure. So, I have the second one, and then all of a sudden, I begin feeling very disoriented and dizzy, and I thought I was going to pass out. I said I need to sit down and he said sit over here and he had the giant yellow beanbag chair. So I sat down in that and leaned my head back and I must have passed out."

"The next thing I remember I was coming to and he had my pants down around my ankles and he was groping my crotch and trying to get my underwear off and feeling me up at the same time, trying to get his hands down my underwear," Brunton says. "I came to and said, 'What are you doing?!' I said, 'I don't want to do this.' He goes, 'You need to relax. I am just trying to make you comfortable. Get comfortable.' And I said, 'No. I don't want to do this.' And I pushed him off and he said, 'OK, fine.' And I said I am going to go and he said, 'If you feel you must. You're in no condition to drive.' I said, 'I don't care I want to go.' So I managed to get my pants up and compose myself and I was just shocked. I walked out and went to my car until I felt well enough to drive home, and that was that."

Amazon recives 238 bids for its planned HQ2...

which will provide at least 50,000 well paying jobs

Assuming your community meets the requirements, would you want them to build there?

Amazon specified it was looking for an area with a low cost of living, an educated and tech-savvy workforce, high incentives, at least 1 million people, and close access to an international airport, among other requirements.

I live just outside of Boston, and close to several major roads that lead in and out of the city.

Traffic around here can be impossible at times, over development consisting of high end condos
and rental units is suffocating the community as it is already, and even MORE is being planned.

Home values are skyrocketing, but so are rents.

The public transportation system is an overcrowded, inefficient disaster.

50,000 newly created jobs or not, there is no fucking way in hell I would welcome or want
Amazons presence anywhere near here.

Cop has complete meltdown, starts shooting for no reason what so ever

Gets really bad at 5:25 when he starts hyperventilating...

Even more fucked up, from the description of the incident, it sounds like they wanted
to charge the woman in the video with causing the "panic attack".

A Sevier County Sheriff’s Office deputy opened fire without warning in a mobile home park, suffered an apparent panic attack four minutes later and was forcibly disarmed by a paramedic, body camera footage shows. Deputy Justin Johnson did not mention the panic attack in his report on the December 2016 incident, and he remains on active duty, court records show. Brian Keith Mullinax, 41, and his girlfriend, Tina Carrie Jo Cody, 37, spent 42 days in jail on felony charges, accused of causing what was described in court statements as a "panic attack" and which a detective called "some type of cardiac event." They remain under prosecution on misdemeanor charges, court records show. A spokesman for Sevier County Sheriff Ron “Hoss” Seals did not return a phone message. It’s not clear from court records whether the sheriff’s office conducted an internal investigation, ordered psychological testing for Johnson, or required him to undergo counseling or additional training. Cody was unarmed and being held on the ground by Johnson and paramedic Blake Gregg when Johnson fired four shots toward a set of mobile homes, paused and fired three more, the video obtained showed. He ran away from Cody and Gregg toward Sharp Road. “Shots fired,” he told dispatchers. “We need help.” Four minutes later, Johnson was kneeling over Cody, who had remained on the ground, with his gun still in his hand when the video showed he began hyperventilating and running backward away from the mobile homes and Cody. Paramedic Michael O’Connor ran toward Johnson. “Pull it together,” O’Connor told Johnson. “Look at me.” Johnson continued to hyperventilate while pointing his gun toward Cody, Gregg and the mobile homes.

Vandals decapitate Confederate soldier statue at Camp Chase cemetery

Removing Confederate statues and memorials from public property is one thing, but there has to be a line drawn
when it comes to desecrating memorials, graveyards and markers in honor of the dead.

The only thing that will come of this is that the racists will eventually retaliate and vandalize monuments erected and
dedicated to PoC's.

A federal agency plans to repair a bronze statue of a soldier that was toppled over and decapitated early Tuesday by vandals at Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery on the Hilltop.

When the statue was knocked over, its head was decapitated, likely from striking a column in the fall to the ground, said Columbus Police Lt. Clifton Dean. The vandals took the head of the soldier but left the hat, he said.

The vandalism occurred sometime between midnight and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at the cemetery, where more than 2,000 Civil War soldiers are buried, most of them Confederate soldiers buried there after they died while imprisoned. Officers noticed the broken monument around 7:20 a.m. when doing a check of the cemetery.

Vandalism cases are difficult to prosecute because they are challenging to prove.

This is why we can't have nice things:Portand Rose Parade canceled amidst threats of ANTIFA violence

This shit is getting out of hand.

It's only a matter of time before someone is killed.

Portland rose parade canceled after ‘antifascists’ threaten GOP marchers

For 10 years, the 82nd Avenue of Roses Business Association has kicked off the city of Portland’s annual Rose Festival with a family-friendly parade meant to attract crowds to its diverse neighborhood.

Set to march in the parade’s 67th spot this year was the Multnomah County Republican Party, a fact that so outraged two self-described antifascist groups in the deep blue Oregon city that they pledged to protest and disrupt the April 29 event.

Then came an anonymous and ominous email, according to parade organizers, that instructed them to cancel the GOP group’s registration — or else.

“You have seen how much power we have downtown and that the police cannot stop us from shutting down roads so please consider your decision wisely,” the anonymous email said, referring to the violent riots that hit Portland after the 2016 presidential election, reported the Oregonian. “This is nonnegotiable.”

The email said that 200 people would “rush into the parade” and “drag and push” those marching with the Republican Party

Where were the police during the Berkeley riot?

There are dozens of videos posted of the event. How many instances can you find of the
cops conducting any meaningful and effective actions to break up the fights or disperse people...
even when the ANTIFA people were throwing M-80's, rocks and debris into the crowd?

For that matter, what plans did they have to even keep the two groups separated from
one another?

Seriously... temporary safety/snow fencing and plastic posts that could be knocked over by
a fart, that's your plan?

Shit storm brewing in Berkeley tomorrow

This will not end well for either side...

The "Alt-Right" is coming back to Berkeley...

But we will gladly escort them back out! Let's come together to enjoy music, food, speakers, and each other's company while we drown out the embarrassing attempts of racists and nationalists to display their hate-fueled support for Trump. Let's fill MLK park with our resilient bodies before these bigots can even show their faces, prevent their rally, and send the message that we aren't down with the hate — all while enjoying dope beats and delicious BBQ. ??
We gonna cook the fash out of Berkeley!

#1 YOUR CREW ?? - Do not come alone! It is crucial to bring your friends so that you can have each other's backs if something were to go down. Even though our goal is to shut down the pro-Trump rally before it can even happen, there is a pattern of fascists and Trump supporters coming armed to rallies and attacking anti-racists, especially targetting Black, Trans and Gender Non-Conforming people.*

#2 A MASK?? - Masking up or otherwise concealing your identity helps protect you from the alt-right and the state. There is a risk of the alt-right doxxing individuals for the purposes of online harassment campaigns which can lead to off-line consequences. You also want to assure the state does not identify you so they cannot target you for repression later on. Consider bringing an extra mask in case someone else might need one!

#3 FOOD (if you can)?? - Bring food to share if you can, but no worries if you can't!

*In the last year, emboldened by Trump's hate campaign, we have seen an intense rise in white supremacist activity and targetted attacks. From burning Black churches to vandalizing Mosques, there is no limit to how low these bigots will stoop. And we have seen the horrors they commit when confronted in the streets. From the shooting of a GDC member in Seattle at a Milo Yiannopoulos protest to the 7 people (almost all of whom were Black or Trans) stabbed by neo-nazis on June 26th, 2016 at the state's capital — Trump supporters and the far-right aren't hesitant to commit heinous acts of violence. After all, they have the support of the white-supremacist State and the badged goons! So while we're out there enjoying ourselves, let's remember to be careful, keep our eyes peeled and have each other's backs.

Berkeley fears repeat of violence at planned pro-Trump rally

The Berkeley farmers’ market has been open for business every Saturday for 30 years, save the time gale-force winds shut it down. But it will be closed Saturday, as organizers fear the fallout from a second pro-President Trump rally in as many months near the market’s home.

The people who run the Ecology Center Farmers’ Market next to Civic Center Park decided this week not to set up their stalls Saturday because of concerns of more violence from the rally, which is set to start at noon in the park near Berkeley City Hall, said Martin Bourque, the market’s executive director.

The closure was the clearest sign of concern among businesses and residents about a rally being organized by a loose collective of far-right groups. One of them, Oath Keepers, which says it will provide security, has been categorized as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Is Bill Maher defending pedophilia here?

Or, can only men be pedophiles?

Mary Kay Letourneau, the teacher from Seattle, who is in jail, because she is in love. That's how I view it. I admit that it's unorthodox, she's 35, the boy is 14. He was younger when they started. But the big story this week...

[GUEST: -Had he been bar-mitzvahed?]

Have I?

[GUEST: -No, had he?]

...OK. But she is pregnant again. That was the story this week. This is the second child by this boy, so, basically, they are having a family, and they are keeping the mother in jail, because she won't conform to what society feels should be the perfect American family.

How can a woman rape a man?

[GUEST: You're not defending this woman, are you?]

I'm completely defending not the woman only, but the boy, as well.

[GUEST: When you were 14, would you have been able to take care of 2 kids?]

Oh, I would have been able to take care of her. [LAUGHTER.] So it's better than she's in jail?

In most of societies in human history, 14-year-olds were fathers.

Define love? If we could, we would have. But we can't. It's something that happens between two people. And these are the two people.

"Trash Dove" a new racist, alt-right symbol?

Are people really falling for this?

First it was Pepe, now this. I honestly had never even or heard of this latest meme until a few days ago (I don't
have a FaceBook or Twitter account, so maybe that's why I'm late to the party).

A purple dove has been flooding Facebook feeds, here is what it means

IF YOU are one who enjoys reading the comments on Facebook posts, chances are you have come across a headbanging purple bird.

The meaning of the purple bird is very confusing with the meme going from innocent sticker to a right-wing symbol used by fascists and Neo-Nazis.

Originating from Florida artist and Adobe creative resident Syd Weller, the “Trash Dove” is part of a sticker set featuring a large-eyed purple pigeon in various situations — most notably the bird vigorously thrashing its head up and down.

The sticker suddenly went viral after being featured alongside a dancing cat on a Facebook page with millions of follower

But now the symbol has moved past light trolling and is considered to be an alt-right meme used to spread neo-Nazi propaganda.

A campaign dubbed “Operation Nazi Bird” from 4chan’s /pol/ message board — the epicentre of far-right extremist activity — was responsible for the shift.

The campaign called for the alt-right to use the bird to clog up the comment section of prominent leftist Facebook pages.

Users are also being encouraged to start photoshopping Trash Dove into images of Nazi propaganda, with users quick to comply.
